She is employed in police department. She is the first women to clock the best Indian time in m freestyle and won three gold medals at the 65th National aquatic championships at the Veer Budhu Bhagat Stadium. She also set two senior championship marks in the m and m freestyle swimming.
She has won two gold medals in m backstroke and m freestyle at the 66th Enerzal Senior National Aquatic Championships. She also bagged the women’s m freestyle title. She was into doping controversy during the Commonwealth Games and after that she resurrected to compete in the 17 individual competitions and won in 11 of them in the National Games.
